How often has Big Gay Horror Fan pushed the common decencies of speech in public – just to see what would happen? Well, to be honest, every single day!! And the only way I suffer is through my guilty conscience.

It’s a good thing I’m not living in Russia. This past week Maria Alekhina, Yekaterina Samutsevich and Nadzhda Tokokonnikova, members of the punk performance art band Pussy Riot, were jailed for two years for ‘religious motivated hooliganism’.

This past March the three took part in performance of a song that protested current Russian leader Vladimir Putin. Since, the song was performed at church and invoked the Virgin Mary, the three were arrested on trumped up charges of (some kind of) corrupt and faithless naughtiness and were held for 5 months awaiting trial. Reports claim the three have already been treated roughly and, since this is real life not Jewel Shepard in Caged Heat II: Stripped of Freedom, the thoughts of what they’ll go through in prison camp are pretty terrifying.

Despite this unfair outcome of justice, the three and the other members of the Pussy Riot collective are continuing their outcries against the corrupt government and the country’s lack of freedom of speech– proving that they are some of the mightiest warriors in the fight against the horrific terrors of political treachery.
