Music to Make Horror Movies By: Herman’s Hermits

Published November 7, 2026 by biggayhorrorfan

Besides a bit of kinky bisexuality (yay!) and a twisted backstory for Mrs. Voorhees, Crystal Lake also introduced quirky British invasion act Herman’s Hermits to the Friday the 13th universe.

The group, fronted by the personable Peter Noone, scored multiple hits in the ’60s, exemplified by such novelty numbers as Mrs. Brown, You’ve Got a Lovely Daughter and I’m Henry VII, I Am. In fact, Henry might even be a murder ballad disguised as an upbeat pop song. Just what exactly did that seemingly merry widow do to the seven other men named Henry?!?

While that track would assumedly be perfect for soundtrack inclusion, the supervisors here instead choose the delightfully rocking I’m Into Something Good. This positive declaration infuses a scene in which Camp Crystal Lake happily opens for its first season after the drowning of Jason as a boy with a buoyancy and summery joy.

One might wonder, though, if the producers were being a bit ironic here. Soon thereafter, the situation decidedly turns bloody for many of the counselors and other townsfolk.

Thankfully, Noone, experiencing none of the wrath that is Voorhees, is still happily performing and offering fun updates at http://www.peternoone.com.
