Zack Kauffman Fund

The majority of society feels like it is living on a perilous financial ledge, as of late. Expenses rise. Salaries stay the same…or even worse, decrease. One disaster could put many of us on the streets or, perhaps even worse – back on our parents’ couches! Thus, it seems ever more important to lend a hand when we can…even if it is just a couple of dollars.

Zack Kauffman, one of the brilliantly creative minds behind Atomic Cotton, has recently incurred some major medical expenses and is need of the horror community’s assistance. He and his wife, Erica, are great people and I’m sure that even that loose change that is jingling softly in your apartment’s corners would truly help them out.

Or…if you are still being haunted by those holiday gift cards, purchasing a t-shirt from https://atomiccotton.com/ would also surely put an ease on their monetary burdens.

Thanks for everyone’s thoughtful consideration and wishes for a super healthy and incredibly creative year for all.

Helping Brad

Brad

Brad

Last Sunday, I went to visit my friend Christine. She was house and dog sitting for a couple of energetic mutts and I was excited to meet them. Usually pups love me. But alas, these two could have cared less about my presence. Naturally, I was a little sad.

Of course, the mild melancholia that I experienced then is nothing close to the true sorrow faced by a pet owner whose animal is really sick. Such is the case for the owners of Brad. Business associates of scream legend Linnea Quigley, an incredibly vocal animal rights activist, Brad’s stomach has flipped, a la the animal in Marley and Me, and he has a long road of recovery ahead of him.

Thus, if they like, concerned (and generous) canine lovers can raid their piggy banks and help Brad out at:

Compassion thy name is Grindhouse!

Clare “Fluff” Llewellyn, one of the visionary forces behind the anthology Hobo With A Trash Can, wherein a homeless man discovers stories of horror among the refuse, is planning a blowout charity event and food drive for the film’s premiere.

The film, featuring scary segments from Llewellyn and 7 others including Christopher Kahler, Steven Grainger, Lloyd James Emmons, Kyle Leonard, Mark Charles Adams, Vincent Marshall and (Big Gay Horror Fan favorite) Tonjia Atomic, will make its debut in Chicago on June 14th, 2015 at the Patio Theater. More information is available at: https://www.facebook.com/events/974440952568158/.

Funds for Joseph Novak.

While I often joke around about being prone to accidents of (both) a physical and emotional nature – real life tragedy sometimes does come calling with major consequences.

Recently, horror enthusiast (and newly minted father) Joseph Novak had a serious accident with a chainsaw. Now, the terror community is responding with a vengeance. Many independent filmmakers have been offering up rare and autographed goodies for sale – with all the proceeds going to help Novak’s medical bills.

You can check these special items out at:
